Nov 14, 1916 – April 3, 2013 John W. Turner John Winston Turner, age 96 of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday. John was a member of West Huntsville Baptist Church and had retired from N.A.S.A. John was preceded in death by his son, Donald W. Turner, daughter-in-law, Mary Turner, & great-grandson, Ryan Dant. John is survived by his loving wife, Lucy M. Turner, daughter, Patricia Dant, son, Gerald Turner, daughter, Pamela Bailey, daughter, Lucy Diaz, daughter, Lisa Davis, brother, Harold Turner, sister Thelma Mahoney, sister, Anna Vandaveer, 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services are being handled by Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville where the family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00am until 1:00pm. A graveside service will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm with Pastor Scott Gossett officiating.
