John Wilson Quinn, 93, Russellville, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Burns Nursing Home.
He was retired from the railroad. He was a deacon of Spruce Pine Baptist Church for about 50 years.
The visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012 at Spruce Pine Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Officiating at the service will be Bro. Kent Walker and Bro. Jim Poss. Burial will be at Spruce Pine Cemetery.
He is survived by his children Shirley Fuller, Carolyn Odom, John Stanley Quinn, Billy Quinn; 14 grandchildren, Ricky Isom, Steve Fuller, Timmy Odom, Phillip Fuller, Cindy Pace, Jeff Odom, Darlene Walker, Jason Quinn, Regina Lollar, Johnny Quinn, Earl Quinn, Lisa Hinkeldire; 30 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Bobbie Ruth Logan; and a host of nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Fretwell Quinn; daughter, Joyce Isom; grandson, Perry Quinn, David Isom; great-granddaughter, Natahsa Odom; great-grandson, Matthew Tapey; parents, Barnes & Bessie Quinn; 5 brothers; and 3 sisters.
The pallbearers will be Steve Fuller, Phillip Fuller, Timmy Odom, Jeff Odom, Jason Quinn, and Jerry Gandy. The honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Spruce Pine Baptist Church.
