Funeral services for John Williams, age 43, of Talladega will be held at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. David Holcombe officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Poplar Springs Cemetery.
John passed away on Friday March 15, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Clay County and attended Clay County High School. When he left high school he went to work for Wellborn and Legacy Cabinets. He then bought his own semi-truck and began driving. He enjoyed his logging career and was working for Barrnett logging. In his spare time he loved fishing, cooking in his cast iron skillets and grilling and spending time with his family. He was a very plain spoken man, who had no problem speaking his mind, but would give you the shirt off his back and help anyone that was trying to help themselves.
He is survived by his wife Amada Williams of Talladega; two daughters, Candace Williams (Fiancé Collyan Billingsley) of Goodwater and Abigail Williams of Talladega; one son Devin Williams (Fiancé Brionna) of Ashland; parents, James and Geraldine Williams of Lineville; a sister Amanda Moore of Lineville; a brother JJ Williams (Lynn) of Ashland; and a host of extended family and friends.
Active Pallbearers will be Devin Williams, Collyan Billingsley, Dustin Moore, Cody Moore, JJ Williams, and Dewayne Mitchell.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Ellard, Charlie Brown and Dexter Searcy.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Monday March 18, 2024 from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and until service time on Tuesday.
