John Wesley Butler, Jr., was born on December 5, 1940 and passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at ECM hospital after a brief illness. He worked most of his life at Tee Jays Manufacturing as a machinist. Johnny was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather (Papaw).
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 1-3 pm at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Brother Tim Whooten officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Butler, Sr. and Mary Beth Shelton Butler; his 2 sons, Myron Keith Butler and William Hughlon Butler; sisters, Gerty, Kathleen, Sarah, and Lila; brothers, Coy and Dalton.
He is survived by his loving wife Sarah Lewis Butler; brother, Carlos; grandchildren, Josh Butler (Sandy), Amanda Herston (Scott), Wesley Butler (Briana); great-grandchildren, Brianna, Brody, Bennett, and Rhett; as well as nieces and nephews he loved dearly.
Pallbearers will be Josh Butler, Wesley Butler, Greg May, Junior Gilchrist, Leslie Lewis, and Chris Fulton.
