John Waymon Tollison, 73, passed away on January 28, 2025 in Ackerman, MS. He was a truck driver for Gulf States and Franklin Logistic and a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Tollison and Gladys Johnson Tollison; sisters, Faye Jones and Linda Reeves; and brother Tommy Tollison.
John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mariann C. Tollison; daughter, Cheryl Marie Cook (Tim Cook); son, Jeffrey Lynn Pieri; brother, Jerry Tollison; grandchildren, Ryan Dobbs (Haley), Jake Pieri (Kallie), Mikayla Pennington (Kirk), Nick Jones (Katelyn), and Grace Cook; and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 11:00-1:00 at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery in Mathiston, MS.
