John W. Phillips, age 67 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Madison County, Alabama to James Ervin and Norene Phillips. Mr. Phillips worked as a plumber. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Phillips; brothers James Phillips, Billy Phillips, Stevie Phillips and Robert Phillips and his sisters Melba Southard and Pearline Southard. He is survived by his son Johnny Phillips; daughters Teresa Phillips, Shelly Mars, Charlotte Adair and Kristie Roden and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Hampton Cove Funeral Home from 10 to 11 am with a memorial service to celebrate his life following at 11 am.
