John W. Howell Sr., age 80, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017. Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, beginning at 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be at Colbert Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m. John was retired from Ford Motor Company as a layout inspector and Chrysler of Huntsville, Alabama. He was a member of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church and attended Ford City Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Maxine Howell, and daughter, Kelly Kerby.
Survivors are wife, Barbara “Boogee” Howell; son, Johnny Howell; daughters, Lee Ann Carver and Nikki Ryan; grandchildren, Jordan Kerby, Cody Kerby, Alison Schurfeld, and Angel Tucker; and great-granddaughter, Isabelle Ryan.
