John Thomas Mayberry, age 93 of Jasper, passed away February 18, 2021. He was a U. S. Navy veteran. He was a retired coal miner from Drummond Co.-Mary Lee 2 mine. He was a member of the UMWA.
Graveside service and interment will be Saturday February 20, 2021 at 11:00 am at New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Chaplain Russ McDonald will officiate. Visitation is Saturday from 10-11 am.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucky Joy Mayberry; daughter, Joy Lynn Pruden and his brother, Terry Joe Mayberry.
Survivors include his wife, Helen “Sally” Mayberry; daughter, Tyra June Moore (Ronald); sons-by-marriage, Michael, Steven and Jason Shubert; grandchildren, Faith, Adam and Dameon; several great grandchildren; brother, William Thurman Mayberry and sister, Ruth Ann Mayberry.
