John Thomas Chisholm (Jack), 85, of New Braunfels, TX, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 6, 2015 in Fort Worth, TX, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born Aug. 14, 1930 in Demopolis, AL, and celebrated 60 years of marriage on Feb. 12 to Mary Wilburn of Huntsville, AL. He graduated from LeTourneau College as an electrical engineer. After serving his country in the Army, he was employed by Western Electric as a field engineer. He retired from AT&T as a financial analyst after 33 years and moved to his “dream home” in New Braunfels TX. Mr. Chisholm was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Alvin and Grace Powers Chisholm, infant sister, Mary Joyce, and brothers, Robert and George Williams Chisholm. He is survived by his wife, Mary Chisholm, of Fort Worth, his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Marshall MacDonald of Fort Worth TX, son and daughter-in-law, John (Jr.) and Brenda (Cricket) Chisholm of Fisherville, KY, grandchildren, Micah, Charissa, Rebecca, and Asa MacDonald and Jonathan and Matthew Chisholm. Visitation will be at 1:30 at Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL on Sept. 19, 2015, with a chapel service at 3:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Huntsville Memory Gardens. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
