Funeral service for Elder John T. Phipps, Sr. will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Church Street Cumberland Presbyterian Church (228 Church St NW, Huntsville, AL 35801) with Dr. Mitchell Walker, Sr. officiating.
Entombment will be in the Valhalla Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Road, Huntsville, AL 35811.
Elder Phipps will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 30, 2026 and from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2026 at the Royal Funeral Home.
The Phipps family will receive guests from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 30, 2026 at the Royal Chapel of Memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations on behalf of Elder John T. Phipps be made to Alabama A&M University.
