Funeral service for John T. ”Johnny” Thompson age 78 of Hartselle will be Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11:00am at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother J. Wayne Penn officiating with burial in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Thompson, who died on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Falkville Health and Rehab Center, was born November 26, 1939 in Morgan County to Thomas Jackson Thompson and Nettie Lee Halbrooks Thompson. He was a 1959 graduate of Falkville High School, served in the Alabama Army National Guard, had worked at Wolverine Tube and then retired from General Motors and was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife; Judith Thompson, a son; Todd Thompson (Lisa), a sister; Carrie Lee King and a granddaughter; Courtney Murphy (Ty).
Ty Murphy, Chris Bennett, Scott Oden, James Hardin, Geremy Segars and Tim Sivley will serve as pallbearers.
