John Starling Heath, Sr., age 88, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away Monday, April 04, 2016. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 06, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel; with service to follow at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Kevin Balch will be officiating. Mr. Heath attended Deshler High School, served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and retired from Reynolds as a machinist. He was a member of Village Baptist Church, Florence, AL.
Preceded in death by parents, Grady and Winnie Heath; son, John Heath, Jr.; grandson, Les Sockwell; sisters, Marie Renegar, and Eloise Worley.
Survivors are wife Valeria Heath; son, Timothy Heath; step-son, Terry Stricklin (Jan); daughters, Elizabeth Stumpe (Richard), Deborah McFall (Steve), and Connie Hober (Jack); brothers, Ralph Heath; the joys of his life were his 22 grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
