John Scott, 55, of Corinth, Mississippi, died Monday, August 27, 2012, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. Mr. Scott was of the Baptist faith. He was employed as a farm hand and truck driver at Triple C Farms. He was formerly employed at TVA and at Milan Express Trucking Co. where he received the Two Million Mile Safety Award. He was also a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Scott enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family, fishing, and farming. He was also a John Deere enthusiast. Visitation is scheduled for 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 28, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. James Rich and Keith Coleman. Interment will follow in Parker Cemetery. Pallbearers include Scotty Roach, Jeff Kennedy, Josh Marlar, Randal Faulkner, Keith Coleman, Chris Marlar, and Greg Kennedy. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rose Scott of Corinth, MS; his mother, Dorothy Myers of Iuka, MS; one son, John Scott and wife, Heather, of Booneville, MS; two daughters, Leta Osborn and Melinda Osborn and husband, Jacob, all of Corinth, MS; three grandchildren, Silas Osborn, Jorja Osborn, and Jericho Osborn, all of Corinth, MS; and a special nephew, Josh Marlar and wife, Bridget, of Corinth, MS. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Scott, and his stepfather, William Hollis Duncan.
