John Robert McKnight, 83 of Ardmore, Tennessee died on Friday, September 29, 2017, at Athens-Limestone Hospital in Athens, Alabama.
Born Sunday, June 24, 1934, he was the son of the late Henry McKnight and the late Geraldine Brock McKnight. He loved to fish and work on and sell cars. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son: Dan McKnight, a daughter: Donna Finley, and six grandchildren.
Surviving are son, Gary McKnight of Ardmore, AL, daughter, Connie (Jackie) Sanders of Ardmore, AL, brother, Pete (Sheila) McKnight of Athens, AL, sister, Jane Gurley of Ardmore, AL, seven grandchildren, and 16 greatgrandchildren.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 2, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Lynn Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
