Mr. Matthews was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Wayne County, Michigan Road Commission, and of the Baptist faith. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Loretto Memorial Chapel with Ricky Cotton officiating. Burial to follow in Richardson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Survivors include: Daughter- Sondra Watson of Lawrenceburg, TN; 3 Granddaughters- Tina Hebert, Jill Hebert Smith, & Diana Hebert Martin; 5 Great Grandchildren- Brittany, Mitchell, Gemini, Garrett, & Taylor; 2 Great Great Grandchildren- Kiana & Komani; Nephews- Edd Matthews & Robert Matthews
