John Robert Brashier was born on April 5, 1943 in Clifton, TN the son of the late Joe and Mary Davis Brashier. He was united in marriage to Carol Skelton on August 13, 1963. John retired from Mallory Capacitor Company in Waynesboro, TN where he did maintenance. He was also a member of the Mt. Carmel Methodist Church. John departed this life on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the age of 79 years, 10 months, and 25 days.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Brashier, of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Kim Stephenson (Kent) of Waynesboro, TN; a son, Jonathan Brashier (Stacy) of Waynesboro,TN; and three sisters: Inez Stracener, JoAnn Hallmark and Linda Jones; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by sisters, Robbie Waters and Louise Pace.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro, TN with Tim Hanback officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors will be assisting the family.
Pallbearers will be Terrance Dickey, Jace Brashier, Titus Brashier, William Brashier, David Hallmark, and Trevor Brashier.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Myles Dickey, Jeff Stracener, Derek Stracener, Mitch Jones, Keith Jones, Donald Waters, Greg Waters, Robert Bridges, and Barry Bridges.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the St. Jude Childrens Hospital or to the 48 Creek Freewill Baptist Church Building Fund.
