A memorial service for John Randall Tallman, age 73, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 2pm on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Philip Bunch officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens Columbarium. Visitation with the family will be from 12pm until time for the service on Sunday at Higgins.

Randy was born October 20, 1950, in Lincoln County, TN to the late James William and Sara Virginia Ramsey Tallman. He graduated from Central High School in Fayetteville and was a veteran of the US Air Force. Known by many as “Red,” he owned and operated The Squire Shop on the Fayetteville Square for many years with his brother-in-law, Eddie Sullivan. Later he worked for several years in sales with Askins Publishing. Randy loved sports. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed countless hours playing and watching the game. He coached his son in baseball, and as a grandfather he could be found at every game or dance recital watching the grandchildren. Randy loved his church family at Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and served for several years as deacon. However, his favorite thing was Sunday afternoons spent with family. Randy passed away May 9, 2024, at HH Lincoln Health in Fayetteville.

Survivors include his son, Nolan Tallman and wife Chanda; daughter, Martha Tallman and husband Dan McCarthy; grandchildren, Will, Owen, and Bea Tallman; sister-in-law, Faye Tallman; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Tallman; sister, Gayle Sullivan; and brother-in-law, Eddie Sullivan.

Memorial donations may be made to Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 1720 Huntsville Highway, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
