John R Calvert, age 66, died of a broken heart Saturday after recently losing his beloved wife to cancer. The oldest son of a wildcatter from Texas, John was a master gardener, expert electronics technician, and a caring protector of people and animals. John is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Ann Calvert, wife Cindy, and brother Gary. He leaves behind three cats that he loved dearly, wonderful neighbors, and his mother-in-law Annette Kizer and step-son Nathan Waugh that are grateful to have had him in their lives. A graveside service will be held in his honor by Minister David O’Connell at the Miller Cemetery in Rogersville Alabama, Monday at 1pm.
