John Paul Heaps, age 77, of Russellville, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Russellville Hospital.
He proudly served in the U.S. National Guard. He worked for the last few years as a people greeter at Walmart. He loved his family and his friends.
The visitation will be 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Andy Coffey speaking at the service. Burial will be at Old Bethel Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonso Herschal & Dorotha (Nix) Heaps.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 54 years, Jean Lee Buchanan Heaps; son, Herschal Heaps; grandson, John Lee Heaps; sister-in-law, Mary Buchanan; and a host of cousins and friends.
The pallbearers will be Jerry Mask, Larry Farris, Justin Dunlap, Ricky Fike, Stevie Higgins, and Josh Coffey.
