John Nunley Watkins, 76 of Athens, passed away on Monday, September 30th, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital Hospice. Mr. Watkins was born on January 16th, 1948, to Kirby Watkins and Lillian Willis Watkins.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Watkins; son Terry Wayne Watkins (Makisha); daughter Sherry Diane Pillow (Billy); brothers Bobby Watkins and Boss Watkins; sisters Mabel Putman and Patricia Clunch; grandchildren Dana Watkins, Justin Watkins, and Wyatt Pillow; and great-grandchild Ethan Haggard.
Mr. Watkins attended Lindsay Lane Baptist Church and retired from Teledyne Wah Chang.
Funeral services for Mr. Watkins will be Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00-1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Isom’s Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
