Mr. John Mason Allen age 93 of Somerville, Al. died Saturday November 30, 2013.
His funeral service will be Monday December 2, 2013 at Center Springs Methodist Church at 11:00am with Gary Dobbs officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing, burial will be in Center Springs Cemetery. His visitation will be Sunday December 1, 2013 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Center Springs Methodist Church.
Mr. Allen was born March 13, 1920 in Somerville, Al. to Stephenson Eli Allen and Ora Breeding Allen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 68 years Janet Allen, 3 Brothers and 6 Sisters.
He was retired from Monsanto.
He was a U.S Army Veteran and a Lifetime Member of Center Springs United Methodist Church.
He is Survived by 2 Sons: Larry Allen(Debbie), of Somerville, Al.
Ricky Allen(Charlotte), of Somerville, Al.
2 Daughters: Gail Turney (Royce) of Somerville, Al.
Donna Nelson (Bill) of Somerville, Al.
1 Sister: Eloise Maples(Robert) of Somerville, Al.
6 Grandchildren: Terry Johnson, Forrest Johnson,
Jonathon Fairbanks, Wendy Fentress, Tracy Sparks and
Angie Voss.
13 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Bob Allen, Ben Allen, Terry Johnson, Forrest Johnson, Jonathon Fairbanks, Harvey Kirby and Ferrell Maples.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Great Grandsons.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Samantha Franklin of Alacare Hospice.
