John Malvin Carter, Jr., 87, of Huntsville, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. He was retired from Montgomery Wards and a member of Oak Park Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Carter; sister, Martha Jones; and brother, Joe Carter. He is survived by his son, John Carter (Carole); two grandchildren, Matthew (Katie) Carter, Catherine Looser (Jon); three great grandchildren, and sister, Nancy Grainger. Visitation will be Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Berryhill Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A chapel service will be at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Rev. Alan Crawford will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Family Hospice Care. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
