Mr. John M. Bishop. of Huntsville, died on Sunday, April 5, 2020. He grew up in Paint Rock Valley, and moved to Chicago after graduating high school. He was a great baseball player, and played semi-pro baseball. He served his country in the US Air Force, and was a veteran of the Vietnam. While serving in Germany, he met his wife Ljubica, and after concluding his service, moved back to Chicago. After 32 years, he retired from Ford Motor Co. in Chicago, IL and moved back to Alabama. His favorite hobby during retirement was to fish.
Mr. Bishop is survived by his daughter Danielle Bishop; son, David Bishop; grandchildren, Colin Bishop and Brooke Bishop; sisters, Joyce Cornelison, Mary Ann Cornelison, Shirley Magovirk, and Betty Hill; and brother, Kendall Bishop.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ljubica “Susie” Bishop.
A private family service will be held for family. We will hold a celebration of life at a later date in time.
