John Lewis Denson, 88, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025 at North Alabama Medical Center. He was born in Prentiss County, MS to Hillyer and Ethel McNeece Denson. He owned and operated Denson Appliance for 72 years. He attended Spring Hill Church and was a good provider for his family.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 6, 4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Donnie Wooten and Bro. Jimmy Smith officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 6, 2-4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home. Burial will be in East Prentiss Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by two sons, Greg Denson and Jamie Denson; grandchildren, Brian Denson, Taylor Denson, Jacob Denson and Brady Denson; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Braxton and McKayla Denson and one great-great grandson, Tucker Denson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ray Denson (Edith).
Pallbearers will be Steve Nunley, Jimmy Pounders, Charles Pardue, Terry Stanley, Junior Hutcheson and Ellis Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be Clyne Pounders, Johnny Bridges, Johnny Hollingsworth and J.P. Wilemon.
