John Lem Hollis, 91, of Florence, passed away September 24, 2025, at Helen Keller Hospital. He was the son of Dewey and Nadine Hollis. He was retired from Renolds Aluminum after 31 years, was a part time farmer, a United States Army Veteran, and a member of Mount Zion Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Reginald, sister Sybil Anders (Larry), one son John Byron Hollis. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Jean, one son Wendal, one daughter Sylvia, and two precious granddaughters, Brooklyn and Madelyn. As requested, no services are planned. Burial will be in Jessie’s Garden Cemetery. Thanks to all who prayed, sent cards and otherwise befriended him while he lived. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or a children’s home of your choice.
