John Lamar Brindley, age 90 of Cullman, passed away Friday, July 4, 2025 at Folsom Rehabilitation Center in Cullman. He was born to Welmer and Grace Brindley on August 21, 1934. Family will receive friends on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Nesmith from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. where a memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Brother Junior Garman and Brother Terry Blankenship will officiate. John is survived by his children, Maryann (Kevin) Kelley, Sandy (Wade) Keyes, June (Pat) Kelley, Susan (Tim) Gaither, and Mirya (Doug) Mason; grandchildren, Allan (Sarah) Keyes, Elizabeth (Tim) Theisen, Ryan (Callie) Kelley, Whitney (Zayne) Smith, Nicholas Kelley, Leslie (Chase) Mosley, Natalie (Nathan) Brown, Jon (Maryellen) Gaither, Katie Mason and Colton Mason; 21 great grandchildren; his little pet companion, Saban. He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Jerrylee Godfrey Brindley; parents, Welmer and Grace Chance Brindley; brother, Garth Chance Brindley; sisters, Nell Ray Elliott and Jean Cox. In lieu of flowers family request to donate to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham in honor of Barrett Gaither. The family would like to send a special thank you to SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice and Folsom Center for their kind and loving care.
