John L. Balentine, age 83, of Waterloo, Alabama, died Monday, July 18, 2016. The funeral will be Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 11:00a.m. at Pine Hill Church of Christ. Matthew Balentine and David Winborn will be officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. He was an elder and member of Pine Hill Church of Christ.
Pallbearers will be Barry and Jay Broadfoot, Tony Stutts, Sammy Balentine, Steve Orick, and Lance Weeks.
Honorary pallbearers will be the daughters of his special baby brother; Robin Mitchell, LaShawn Parrish, Melody Davis, and Kelli Balentine.
Survivors include his wife Sissy Balentine; sons, Richard Balentine and Stephen Balentine; daughter, Myra Balentine Stansell; brother, Chester Balentine; grandchildren; Matthew Balentine (Blair), Joshua Balentine (Lauren), Katelin Balentine, Kendall Stansell and Jessica Hickman; great-grandchildren; Collins and Vance Balentine and Whitten Balentine; special son-in-law Bill Hickman and special friend and Army buddy, Buddy Lee Ford.
