John Kenneth Tays, age 66, of Killen, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 16, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Center Star. The service will be Friday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m. at the church with Brother Stan Dean officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dexter Briley, Vic Peck, Aaron Alexander, Joel Alexander, Junior Walton, and Kevin Wallace.
He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ and a longtime member of NRA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Tays; and grandson, Dustin Tays.
Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Tays; children, Troy Tays (Shannon) and Kim Wallace (Kevin); sister, Jeanette Wisdom; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
