Johnny Reece  John “Johnny” William Reece, age 82 of Joelton, Tennessee passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at Brookdale Senior Living in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o’clock pm, Wednesday, October 8th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Corey Minter and Bro. Tom Malone officiating.

Burial will follow at New Hope Free Will Baptist Cemetery with his son Tim Reece, Tristan Murphey, Adam Womack, Scotty Ruffin, Jamie Maddox, Ricky Loudermilk serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00AM until the hour of service at 1:00PM.

Mr. Reece was born on June 18, 1943 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late James Edward Reece & Lola Mae Leath Ruffin. He retired after 35 years with Kroger as a meat cutter. He loved the Lord and his family dearly, and was quite the cut-up. Mr. Reece always loved to make people laugh. His favorite pastimes included fellowship at church, spending time outdoors, collecting odds and ends, and shooting pool. He was a member of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Jackie, Jerry, Jimmy Reece, and Terry Ruffin.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janice Reece, son, Timothy (Karen) Reece; daughter, Tina (Ricky) Loudermilk; grandchildren, Rianna (Adam)Womack and Tara (Jay) Wilmore; great-grandchildren, Tristan Murphey, Eli Wilmore, and Allie Wilmore; brothers, Joe (Pam) Reece, Ricky (Reba) Ruffin, and Travis (Gayle) Ruffin; and sister, Joann Maddox.
