Memorial service for Mr. John “Jack” Frances Maguire, age 87, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted at 2 PM on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Parks City Baptist Church with Bro. Don Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be at at 1 PM until time of service at 2 PM on Saturday at the church.
John was born on June 1, 1932 in Providence, RI to the late John Daly and Margaret Maguire. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a radio operator. He worked as a tool and dye maker for Armco Steel in Wildwood, FL. John enjoyed making things with metal and wood. He was a member of Parks City Baptist Church. John passed away on October 14, 2019 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Barbara Jo Maguire; sons, John P. Maguire of Tampa, FL and Michael Maguire of Canterbury, CT; daughters, Margaret (Larry) Webb of Morrison, FL and Elzabeth Lavalle of Belleview, FL; step-sons, Jeffrey Blinkhorn, Robert Blinkhorn, Erving “Jimmy” (Kelly) Blinkhorn, III, and Dean (Karen) Blinkhorn all of Florida; step-daughter, Dawne (Peter) Ciambrone of Cranston, RI; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one step-son, David Blinkhorn.
