Funeral for John I. Summers, 75, of Trinity will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Parkway Funeral Home, at 3:00 PM with Rev. Festus Grissom officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens with Masonic honors . Visitation will be two hours before the service at the funeral home. Mr. Summers, who died Monday, October 23, 2017, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born, July 3, 1942, to Troy Malcom Summers and Nelma Berryman Summers. He was a member of New Center Baptist Church and Mt. Zion Masonic Lodge .
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter – Janice Lang, brother – Jammie Summers
Survivors include:
Wife – Bonnie Summers
3 Daughters – Kay Summers, Jill Dozier and Jada Mills
Brother – Jackie Summers
Sister – Joey Hildreth
6 Grand Children – Mitchell Lang, Weston Lang, Skylar Summers, Jake Mills, Joshua Gardner, Asia Gardner
2 Great Grand Children- Giddeon Bufkin and Lakyrin Strickland
Pallbearers will be Jake Mills, Josh Gardner, Floyd Shankle, Floyd Morgan, T. J. Hildreth and Donnie Farley.
