John Hillard Romans, age 79 of Sheffield, Alabama was called home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years. Mary Frances Romans , his parents John and Mildred Romans, and a great grandchild Peyton Wimberly. He is survived by his children Sharie Crittenden, Jordan (Audra) Romans, Tina (Blaine) Brooks, Charles Heathcoat, Clyde (Leah) Heathcoat. John is the proud grandfather of seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great grand-children. He is survived by a sister Joyce Morris and proceeded by a sister Maxine Pinello.
John was born December 16, 1942 and was a life long resident of Sheffield, Alabama. He retired from Reynolds Metals where he worked supporting his family for many years. John was a Founding member and Deacon of Light House Baptist Church. John Romans was ordained as a Minister of the Lord June 25; 2000 at Light House Baptist Church.
A visitation will be held February 6 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Greenview Memorial Chapel in Florence Alabama. A memorial service will be held on February 7, at 2:00 pm at Greenview Memorial Chapel followed by a brief grave side reading at the Greenview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grandsons Jo
