John Henry Chandler, 83, a native of Lawrence County and a resident of Lauderdale County, passed away July 16, 2014 at his residence. He was a member of Central Heights Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge, and a U.S. Air Force veteran,.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, July 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Waddell and the Rev. Roger Houston. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Doug Hayes, Trigger Oakley, Leo Kilburn, Herby Harrison, Doug Baskins, John Sandy, Kenneth Brewer, and Don Burleson.
Mr. Chandler was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Pearl Chandler; sister, Helen Chandler Bradley; brother, Lavon Chandler.
He is survived by his wife, Adell Chandler; sons, Carl, Charles, and Gary Chandler all of Florence; daughter, Patricia Gargis (Randy) of Tuscumbia; brother, Paul Chandler (Lorene); sister, Jeanette Powell (Roy) all of Lawrenceburg, TN; grandchildren, Jonathan Chandler of Florence, Chelsea Kennedy (Huston) of Muscle Shoals, Brittany Gargis of Nashville, TN.
