John Henry Chadwell Jr, 82, of Lynville, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at his residence.
A Funeral service will be held at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home on March 13 at 12:00 PM Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Jonathan Hickerson will be officiating. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born on March 19, 1941, in Columbia, Tennessee. John married his first wife Paula Uptain Chadwell and created his own construction company. John loved working on cars, and was a big Bill Elliott fan. He was a friend to all who knew him and was very generous to all those who were in need.
John is survived by his niece Dina (Mike) Daniels, and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Paula Uptain Chadwell in 1986, and his second wife Bonnie Parrish Chadwell in 2021.
Pallbearers will be David Doss, Tim Brewer, Jimmy McGee, Danny Fogle, Larry Rummage, and Brain Vandygriff. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Lovell, Melvin Hindman, Tim Cope, and Larry Vandygriff.
