John F. “Bubba” Harrington

John F. “Bubba” Harrington, 68, passed away on March 14, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. He had various jobs but he retired from H & R Agripower in Inventory Control. Mr. Harrington was a member of Morgan Chapel Baptist Church in Sturgis, MS, where he was a Deacon and a chairman of the Building and Grounds Committee and was also a member of Sturgis Masonic Lodge. He loved to serve others and did so as an EMT volunteer fireman. He was a great husband, father, granddaddy, and uncle. He was “Bubba” to all.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Rose Hollowell Harrington; and brother, Lee Harrington.

He is survived by his wife, Emily Morgan Harrington; daughters, Julie McKenzie (John), and Jenna Faver (Zack), all of Sturgis, MS; son, Baker Harrington (K K) of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Tucker and Tanner McKenzie, Edie and Livie Faver, and August, Hayes and Ryan Harrington; father, Deedy Harrington (Sherean) of Aberdeen, MS;sisters, Karen Heintze of Aberdeen, MS, Anne Harrington of Louisville, KY, Hope Oakes of Columbus, MS, and Christina O’Connor of Aberdeen, MS; and brothers, Pat Harrington, and Ches Harrington, both of Aberdeen, MS; and he is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Morgan Chapel Baptist Church in Sturgis, MS, with the funeral service immediately following. Rev. Luke Gardner will conduct the service. Burial will be in Morgan Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
