John Emmitt Shirey, 85, of Huntsville, passed away Saturday. He was a member of First Methodist Church of Guin, AL and of the Huntsville Optimist Club. Mr. Shirey is survived by his wife, Geraldine Francis Shirey; daughter, Diane Reisert (Rick); two sons, Chris Crews (Tracy) and Stacy Crews (Lisa); and two grandchildren, Lauren and Cameron Crews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 21st from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 noon at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a noon chapel service with Rev. James Harrell officiating. Burial will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery.
