John Edward Wass John Edward Wass, 77, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021.

A native of Johnstown, PA, John was an accomplished individual holding two Bachelor degrees and a Master’s degree from The University of Huntsville in Alabama.

Throughout his long and rich professional career, John worked as contractor for renowned government contractors Boeing and Teledyne Brown Engineering, as well as small businesses. His engineering and business acumen and love for the latest technological breakthroughs brought him professional recognition and the ability to work both in the U.S. and Europe. He absolutely loved traveling and learning about different cultural traditions and customs. He was an avid lover of nature and a staunch supporter of its preservation as well as a big animal lover. John loved walking on Monte Sano with the two dogs he loved so much, swimming, reading, watching old SCI-FI movies, and had a true passion for technology and music.

John was preceded in death by his parents and left behind a loving family whom he loved dearly. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Anca; his daughter, Angela and her husband, Steve; granddaughters, Emily and Caroline; his brother, Bernard, and his wife, Beverly; his sisters, Mary Beth, and her husband, John, Kathleen, and her husband, Tom, and Sue; along with a great number of nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at the church he attended most of his life, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Huntsville, AL.

Throughout his life, John was a supporter of the Catholic church as well as animal rescue organizations; therefore, the family is kindly requesting to remember him by simply saying a prayer and, in lieu of flowers, donating to Holy Spirit Adoration Chapel or Schnauzer Love Rescue, Inc. (www.SchnauzerLoveRescue.Net).

May his memory be eternal as he leaves behind a lot of tears but also, a lifetime of memories that will be forever cherished by his family and friends.
