John Edward Adcock, age 72, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016. Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be Saturday, Jan. 9, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Old Bethel Cemetery in Colbert County.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Garvin and Gladys Adcock, and daughter, Rita Sharpton.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and was self-employed.
Survivors are his wife, Grace Adcock; children, Stephanie Crowden, Tracye Davis, and Stephen Crowden; sisters, Dorothy Robbins, Faye Norwood, and Mary Sue Dempsey; brother, Jack Adcock; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
