John Dalton Lundy – Obituary

John Dalton Lundy, 85, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit. He was born November 21, 1928, in Marion County, Ala., to Flavors and Irene Jefferys Lundy. He was a farmer and worked at Smithville Manufacturing and Cavalier Homes. He was a member and deacon of Liberty Grove Baptist Church and was a U. S. Army veteran. He enjoyed gardening and yard work.

Services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday, August 12, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Bobby Fowler and Bro. Jamie Jefferys officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Fannie Lundy, of Tremont; three children, Terry (Gloria) Lundy, of Hamilton, Ala., Gerry Lundy of Tremont, and Sharion (Jeff) Warren of Hamilton, Ala.; his grandchildren, Tami (Jamie) Harris, Barry (Kandy) Lundy, Hunter (Kalynn) Warren, and Savannah Warren (fiance Matthew Frederick); great-grandchildren, Becca Harris, Blake Harris, EmeLee Lundy, and Bradyn Warren; and one sister, Louise Mills, of Hamilton, Ala.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elouise Petty.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Harris, Barry Lundy, Hunter Warren, Matthew Frederick, Blake Harris, Billy Joe Satterwhite, and Gail Satterwhite.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Monday at the funeral home.
