John D. Cooper – Obituary

John D. Cooper, 85, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Red Bay Hospital. He was a native of Franklin County, Al. and had been an employee of Mueller Copper Tube and Blue Bell. He attended Cornerstone Church of God and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 24, at Cornerstone Church of God, Red Bay, Al. with Bro. Ben Young and Bro. Micah Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery, Belmont, Ms. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are his wife of 62 years – Ruth Maxine Cooper, Red Bay, Al.; two children – Jackie Cooper (Dianne) Dennis, Ms. and Debbie Lindsey (Ken) Red Bay, Al.; two sisters-in-law – Bonnie Cooper and Evelyn Cooper; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Bertha Cooper, one sister, Dorothy Faulkner and two brothers, Charles Cooper and Aaron Cooper.

Pallbearers will be elders of Cornerstone Church of God.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, August 23, at Cornerstone Church of God.
