Mr. John Collins age 68 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Monday, January 11, 2021, at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born October 10, 1952, in Chattanooga, TN, was the former Vice-President of Gardens of Memory Cemetery, and worked in sales. Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his father John Franklin Collins and his sister Judith Pugh.
John is survived by his wife Sandra Stafford Collins, mother Elinor Carmichael Collins, siblings Sandy (Tom) Buda, Janet Collins, Rosemary Dworak, Jennifer (James) Martin, Jerry (Sandra) Collins, Jimmy Collins, and Jeff (Molly) Collins, children Janice Sherrill, John Michael (Samantha) Collins, Jr., Jessica (Charles) Allen, Justin Michael (fiancé Jamie) Collins, and Jarrett (fiancé Jessica) Collins, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Graveside service and interment is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 1:00 P.M at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Tommy Carmichael will officiate. The Collins family will meet friends and neighbors at the cemetery as there will be no public visitation at the funeral home. Social distancing and the wearing of face masks are strongly encouraged.
