John Charles Berry, age 85 years young, is resting in the arms of Jesus after a long battle with heart disease. He was an employee of General Motors in Livonia, Mich. He was the son of George W. and Grace P. Warrington Berry and was preceded in death by brothers, Warrington, Eugene and Lorton; and sisters, Audrey Sowden and Peggy Grandinetti. He is survived by sisters, Kate Hamilton and Joyce Macquarrie.He was a devoted husband to wife, Rena Allen Berry; “super dad” to daughters, Carol, Barbara, Candice and Bridget, and son, Michael, his fishing buddy, and his wife, Debra. He was a fun and proud grandpa to eight grandchildren and two new “joymakers” great-grandchildren, Landen and Sofia. A celebration of his life, memorial service, will be held on Sunday, August 25, at 2 p.m. at the Stateline Church. Hwy. 13, Tenn.
