John-Carrizales-1422198758John Carrizales, age 61, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

John was born on December 5, 1953 to Gilbert Carrizales Sr. and the late Louisa Reyes Carrizales in Seguin, Texas. John married Jean Ortiz on September 14, 1973. John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. John was a faithful member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. He held fast to his beliefs and prayed every day. John enjoyed watching movies and greatly enjoyed the Sci-fi genre. While John loved to watch Norte Dame and the Dallas Cowboys play, he treasured the moments when he watched his grandchildren play any sport. He knew no stranger and was a friend to everyone. John always had a smile on his face and was the life of the party. Laughter followed John wherever he went. Above all, he always put his family first.

The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Columbia, Tennessee on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Davis Chackaleckel as the celebrant. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

John is survived by his loving wife Jean Ortiz Carrizales of Columbia, Tennessee; daughters Jessica (Chris) Burrow, Kim (Jon) Sweeney, Monica (Joshua) Gochee, and Michele (Elliott) Carrizales Cook all of Columbia, Tennessee; grandsons John Christopher Carrizales, Austyn Sweeney, and Harper Cook; granddaughter Alyvia Sweeney; father Gilbert Carrizales Sr.; siblings Gilbert, Robert, Rick, Veronica, Joann, Barbara, and Penny; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

John was preceded in death by his mother Louisa Reyes Carrizales and two nephews Jason Carrizales and Geoffrey Carrizales.

Pallbearers will be John Christopher Carrizales, Gilbert Carrizales, Robert Carrizales, Rick Carrizales, Joshua Gochee, Jon Sweeney, Chris Burrow, Adam Kohn, and Jaccob Kohn.

Honorary Pallbearers are Austyn Sweeney and Harper Cook.
