John C. Sparks, age 89, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, passed away Friday, July 01, 2016. A private graveside service was held Sunday, July 03, 2016, at 10 a.m. in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Ricky Zane officiated.
Mr. Sparks was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ueura Sparks; son, Bobby Sparks; brother, Wayne Sparks; and a sister, Lorene Benson.
Survivors are his wife of 66 wonderful years, Maxine Sparks; son, Jimmy Sparks (Sharon); four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of loving siblings, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mr. Sparks retired from Reynolds Metals Reduction Plant after 23 years of loyal service. John was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II.
