John B. Bibb, 97, of Arab, AL went to be with Jesus May 5th, 2025.
Mr. Bibb was born on March 16th, 1928, in Montgomery, AL and married to his loving wife, Melba Bibb, for 70 years.
John was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. As an Electrical Engineer he worked in Texas, later moving to Huntsville where he worked for NASA at Redstone Arsenal. He retired from NASA in 1984.
He was a faithful member and servant of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church. He was proud that his name and birthday aligned with his personal beliefs with Bible verse John 3:16.
Mr. Bibb is survived by his wife: Melba Bibb; daughters: Susie Bibb Glenn and husband, Don and Sandra Bibb Standifer and husband, Darren; Grandchildren: Rebecca Glenn, Rachel Glenn, Lindsey Barron and husband Daniel, and Scott Standifer and wife Holli; and Great Grandsons: Andy, Jones, Oliver, Brooks, and Walter.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Boling and Nellie Bibb and brother and sister-in-law: William and Dot Bibb
Graveside services will be held at Gilliam Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 2:00pm. Brother Jamey Pruett and Brother Frank Whitaker will officiate. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel entrusted with arrangements. The family requests donations be made to the Gilliam Springs Baptist Church Missions Program in lieu of flowers.
