John Alfred Meek age 72 of Sumiton, passed away Sunday May 13, 2018 at his residence. He was a loving and kind family man who loved everyone, but especially his grandkids. He was a Tennessee football fan and loved fishing.
Funeral services will be Wednesday May 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Brantley Phillips Funeral Home, 2470 Hwy. 51 South Hernando, MS 38632. Burial will follow at Hinds Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 12-1 pm at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Meek and several brother and sisters.
Survivors include his wife Joyce Meek of Dora, AL; daughter, Misty McClain; son, Tommy Jean; grandchildren, Christopher, Cody, James, Dillon, Gabby and Savannah; great grandchildren, Emory, Dakota and Aubrey Lynn; brother, Ricky Meek; sister, Ellen Grooms; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
