Joey Keith Borden, age 45, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2017. His family will receive friends Thursday, 6-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Friday, noon, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Truman Kimbrough officiating. Burial will be in Isbell Chapel Cemetery.
Joey was a member of Isbell Chapel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his parents, Joe and Deborah Borden; brother, Mark and Jimmi Sue Borden; sister, Tammy and Chris Berryman; nephews, Marcus Borden and Craig Berryman; nieces, Nikki Walker, Marisa Berryman, and Heather Stephenson; great-nephew, Brody Borden; and a number of loving aunts and uncles; and many precious cousins, relatives, and friends.
Joey had many gifts. He was kind, loving, encouraging, and a servant. He was chosen as an “unsung hero” for devoting his time to local nursing homes to perform massages to those with disabilities. Joey overcame his own challenges and physical limitations to impact others. He will be greatly missed.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
