, 70, died Thursday, February 19, 2015, at his home. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was a Veteran, serving in the United States Air Force. He was twice the commander of the VFW. He was past-president of the Fulton Lions Club. He was a H-Vac Tecnician for Wal-Mart from 1979 until 1994, when he became disabled. He enjoyed helping out at the church, playing golf, and fishing. He was an avid Mississippi State fan.
Services will be at 11 a. m. Saturday, February 21, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Dr. Don Baggett officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his son, David Joel Rogers; his father and mother-in-law, Bro. Howard and Betty Pearce; one sister-in-law, Pat Bishop (Kenneth); one brother-in-law, Howard Pearce, Jr.; three very special friends, Stu Herring, Larry Brown, and Jerry Maxcy, all of Fulton; and his faithful caregiver, Nell Henry of Mooreville.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Martha Rogers; and his father and mother, Joel and Verna Haynes Rogers.
Visitation will be from 9 a. m. until service time Saturday at McNeece – Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
