Joe T. Toone, age 84, of Athens, AL died Monday, Oct 6th, 2025 at his residence. He was a member of the Methodist Church and retired from Redstone Arsenal. He was born on December 21, 1940 to Joe and Viola Toone in Decatur, Alabama. Services will be at the Spry Funeral Home Chapel, Friday the 10th at 1:00pm officiated by Rick Cantrell. Pallbearers will be Chris Thigpen, Jeff Peterson, Jake Peterson, Cora Toone, Shane Toone, Darrell Davis, Zackary Davis, and Jeff Turner. Burial will be at Copeland Cemetery in Athens. There will be a visitation at Spry Funeral Home on Friday at 12 noon. He is survived by his wife, Janice Toone of Athens, sons, Shane Toone and Kawana Toone, both of Athens, daughter, Kim Willis of Florida, and three Grandchildren.
