Joe Maxwell Alich In Loving Memory Joe Maxwell Alich

Mr. Joe “Papa” Alich, of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, after courageously battling cancer.

He was born on April 4, 1960 in Jasper, Alabama, son of the late James Powell Alich and the late Cynthia Clothele Rowe Alich. Joe was a truck driver for many years, lastly having been employed by John Ray Trucking, Eastaboga, Alabama. He loved to tinker on cars and wood work. He had a special love for his wife, children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of almost 40 years, Cheri Alich and two grandsons, Cody Christopher and Kyle Christopher.

Survivors include his three daughters, Wendy (Dale) Payne of Henager, AL, Crystal (Dwayne) Helton of Dallas, GA and Heather Norman of Riverside, AL; son, Kevin Norman of Riverside, AL; two brothers, Jimmy Alich of Parrish, AL and Mike Alich of Parrish, AL; brothers in law Ed (Cathy) Vargason of Zephyrhills, FL and Bill (Carol) Vargason of Bluff City, TN; four grandchildren, Carmen Moore (Mitch), Caleb Rivera, Dylan Norman and Tyler Norman; and great-granddaughters, Nova Jean Norman and Delilah Reeves.

A private service will be held at a later date.
